BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — Two people were charged with intent to distribute after police reportedly found more than 100 fentanyl pills in a Bristol, Virginia hotel room.
The Bristol, Virginia Police Department (BVPD) reported officers responded to the Extended Stay of America on Salem Drive regarding two people at the hotel staying past check-out and refusing to leave.
Upon arrival, officers found two people in the room and found evidence of illegal narcotics use, the police department stated.
After a search warrant was obtained, authorities reportedly found more than 100 fentanyl pills, several methylphenidate pills and Xanax pills.
Police identified the two people as Kelsey M. Long-Wallen, 21, of Kingsport and Jacob E. Carroll, 21, of Bristol, Virginia.
Both were arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, according to the report.
Long-Wallen was also charged with two separate counts of possession of a controlled substance for the Methylphenidate and Xanax.
As of Monday, Carroll and Long-Wallen are being held at the regional jail without bond.
