Douglas County deputies arrest 1 man, cite another for looting-related activity in area impacted by tornado outbreak
Douglas County deputies investigated two men for looting-related activity on Sunday night.
Deputies identified a suspicious vehicle in the area of 216th and Fort streets, which was impacted by last week's tornado outbreak, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.
According to law enforcement, the vehicle was parked near a "road closed" barricade, which also had a no trespassing order, blocking traffic on Fort Street.

A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Alejandro Vera, told deputies that the driver was on foot in the area, authorities said.
Deputies said a record check found Vera had two outstanding warrants, and a search revealed he had a pry bar, flashlight and a work glove in his front sweatshirt pocket.

Authorities searched the vehicle and found a pair of wire cutters and a plastic bag, which contained methamphetamine, deputies said.
Deputies found the driver, identified as Shane Cirian, walking on Fort Street in the restricted area.

Vera was arrested for criminal impersonation, burglar tools, possession of a controlled substance, and two outstanding warrants, which were for violation of his pre-trial release supervision.
Cirian was cited for trespass.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said deputies and members of the Nebraska State Patrol are providing extra security to the affected areas of Douglas County damaged by the recent tornado.
