HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York State Police reported the April 25 arrest of Jahn Ortiz, 24, of Hoosick Falls on Tuesday. This was following an investigation that started in March.
Charges
- Two counts of third-degree rape
- Two counts of endangering the welfare of a child
In March, investigators reported receiving a tip that a man had inappropriate contact with a child, prompting an investigation. Police say the investigation determined that Ortiz allegedly had sexual contact with a child under the age of 17.
Ortiz was arrested in Hoosick Falls at his home. He was arraigned at Hoosick Falls Village Court and released.
