HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Seven men were arrested in Holyoke on Monday following a “human trafficking” operation.

Members of Holyoke and State Police conducted the operation on Monday targeting human trafficking in the city. Officers arrested the following individuals and have been charged with soliciting sex for a fee:

  • Jorge Lopez: 49-years-old
  • Jose Santiago: 68-years-old
  • Christopher Laines: 34-years-old
  • Josue Ortiz: 29-years-old
  • Sarom Soeng: 47-years-old
  • Guy Flathers: 72-years-old
  • Joseph Fournier: 61-years-old

The operation was a joint effort between the Holyoke Police Department Detective Unit and the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victim Unit to reduce the amount of sexual exploitation throughout the city. Detective Hamel says the operation will continue in the future.
