Welcome to Arrest Stories. A South Carolina boutique owner faces her eleventh arrest this year on charges of obtaining property under false pretenses in Cherokee County. Here's what may have happened.
Thirty-year-old Pamela Brooke Schronce, owner of Thomas and Turner Boutique in Belton, was arrested in Cherokee County and released on a two thousand one hundred twenty-five dollar surety bond. According to investigators, this marks Schronce's eleventh arrest since January first, with charges filed across eight counties primarily in the Upstate region.
The Cherokee County case involves a victim who ordered three hundred sixty dollars worth of products from the children's clothing boutique but never received the items. According to officials, the victim tried repeatedly to get an answer from Schronce but was eventually blocked and received no response.
Cherokee County investigators secured an arrest warrant on February seventeenth, twenty twenty-six. One official stated, "We waited in line with all the other agencies to get her booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center."
The arrest pattern began on January first when Schronce was arrested in Anderson County and extradited to Fairfield County. Since then, multiple jurisdictions including Easley, Spartanburg County, Anderson County, Fairfield County, and Abbeville County have filed charges against her.
According to investigators, dozens of customers across South Carolina reported placing orders with Thomas and Turner Boutique but never receiving their products or promised refunds. Officials say Schronce allegedly defrauded victims out of more than ten thousand dollars total and repeatedly provided fabricated excuses to explain missing deliveries.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office received their first report regarding the boutique on January ninth, followed by a second victim report on January fourteenth. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office filed additional charges on Friday.
One investigator commented on the scope of the alleged scheme, saying, "There were so many customers that have been taken advantage of. To me that is unfathomable."
The investigation spans from September twenty twenty-three to December twenty twenty-five, involving customers from multiple counties across South Carolina.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
