DAYCARE OWNER ARRESTED AFTER ADMITTING THIS DURING POLICE INTERVIEW

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A twenty-three-year-old Little Rock daycare operator has been charged with capital murder after allegedly slamming an eight-month-old child's head into a hardwood floor three times during a diaper change. Here's what may have happened.

On December thirtieth at eleven fourteen in the morning, Little Rock Police Department officers responded to thirty-three Clifton Drive where Erin Sauls operated a home daycare. Officers discovered an unresponsive eight-month-old infant inside the residence and immediately performed emergency CPR on the child.

The infant was rushed to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. Police arrested Sauls at her home that same day. The initial investigation determined the cause of death to be homicide.

According to police reports, Sauls admitted to striking the infant's head against the hardwood floor of her home three times. The child, identified as Elijah, suffered a skull fracture and multiple brain bleeds from the blows. Sauls told investigators she became frustrated while changing the child's diaper because she had a headache.

Police reports indicate that after the assault, Elijah became hot and sweaty before becoming unresponsive. The injuries proved fatal, with the skull fracture and brain bleeding causing the infant's death.

Sauls has been charged with capital murder and is being held without bond. She is scheduled to appear in Little Rock District Court on January thirteenth, twenty twenty-six.

Family members of other children who attended the daycare expressed shock and concern about the incident. One parent told local media they had noticed strange marks and bruises on their child after visits to Sauls' daycare, and that their child had become seriously ill requiring hospitalization on multiple occasions.

The victim's family described the tragedy as an unimaginable loss, stating that the days ahead will be incredibly difficult as they grieve together and try to find comfort and healing.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
