DRIVER HITS 79 MPH IN 40 ZONE BEFORE SHOCKING 3-LANE STUNT

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A twenty-year-old University of Miami football player has been arrested and charged with three counts of vehicular homicide after a devastating crash in Largo, Florida that claimed three lives including two children who were ejected from their vehicle. Here's what may have happened.

On Friday, May tenth at approximately one forty-three in the afternoon, a horrific collision unfolded at Ridge Road and Orange View Drive in Largo. Adarius Hayes was behind the wheel of a Dodge Durango, traveling at seventy point eight miles per hour in a forty mile per hour zone. According to investigators, Hayes made what they described as "a rapid and dangerous maneuver, changing lanes from the curb lane to the median lane, crossing three lanes of traffic while overtaking other vehicles."

The situation escalated dramatically in the final seconds before impact. Hayes accelerated to seventy-eight point nine miles per hour and abruptly re-entered the curb lane, crossing all three lanes again without signaling. Meanwhile, a Kia Soul was lawfully executing a left-hand turn when Hayes slammed into the vehicle with devastating force.

The crash was captured on video from a FedEx truck that Hayes had passed moments earlier. Two children were ejected from the Kia Soul and pronounced dead at the scene, along with a third victim.

Investigators concluded that "Hayes' egregious speed, aggressive and reckless lane changes, and complete disregard for surrounding traffic conditions demonstrated a willful and deliberate disregard for the safety of others, constituting reckless driving. These actions directly led to the tragic deaths of the three victims."

Hayes eventually turned himself in to police. His bond has been set at three hundred fifty thousand dollars. The University of Miami has indefinitely suspended Hayes from all athletic activities, stating they will have no further comment.

One grieving mother shared her heartbreak, saying "I'm still a mother of three, but now I only have one living child that I have to stay strong for."

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
