FLORIDA MAN ARRESTED AFTER LIFTING WOMAN OVER HIS HEAD

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A forty-one-year-old Florida Keys man was arrested on Christmas Eve after allegedly lifting a woman over his head and slamming her to the ground outside a local bar. Here's what may have happened.

On December twenty-fourth, two thousand twenty-five, at approximately one twenty-nine in the morning, Monroe County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a battery in progress outside the Brass Monkey bar in the Florida Keys. The incident involved Phernando Torres Hill, a forty-one-year-old local resident, and a forty-three-year-old woman.

According to police reports, the incident began when the woman exited a taxi and started walking toward the Brass Monkey establishment. Hill then approached the woman and forcefully lifted her above his head before dropping her onto the pavement outside the bar.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Hill in what appeared to be a heavily intoxicated state. Upon law enforcement's arrival, Hill immediately began yelling at the responding officers, escalating the already volatile situation.

The woman who was allegedly assaulted had been simply attempting to enter the business when the unprovoked attack occurred. The force of being lifted overhead and then dropped to the pavement created a dangerous situation that prompted immediate intervention from law enforcement.

Hill's behavior toward the responding deputies resulted in additional charges beyond the initial battery complaint. His confrontational attitude and apparent intoxication level contributed to the escalation of the encounter with law enforcement.

The incident occurred during the early morning hours of Christmas Eve, disrupting what should have been a peaceful holiday evening in the Florida Keys community. The Brass Monkey bar area became the scene of this alleged assault that left one woman victimized and one man facing multiple criminal charges.

Hill was ultimately arrested and charged with battery, resisting arrest, and disorderly intoxication. The charges stem from both his alleged actions toward the female victim and his subsequent behavior when law enforcement attempted to intervene in the situation.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
