Welcome to Arrest Stories. We're covering the arrest of thirty-one-year-old TJ Yeldon, a former Alabama and NFL running back, in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident in Baldwin County, Alabama. Here's what may have happened.
According to police reports, Baldwin County Sheriff's Office received an emergency call around one AM Central Time Saturday morning. Communication officers could allegedly hear what was believed to be a domestic violence offense occurring between a male and female. When deputies arrived at the scene and knocked on the door, Yeldon reportedly saw the deputies, turned off the lights and refused to open the door. The caller stated that she was able to get to the bedroom and lock the door when deputies arrived, but after turning the lights off, the male party was allegedly attempting to get into the bedroom with the victim.
Deputies attempted forced entry into the residence due to the ongoing situation. Yeldon was subsequently arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, third-degree criminal mischief, and interference with a domestic violence emergency call. He was released Saturday on a two thousand dollar bond.
