HOME ALONE ACTOR CITED AFTER THIS HOTEL INCIDENT

Welcome to Arrest Stories. Sixty-eight-year-old actor Daniel Stern, best known for playing burglar Marv Murchins in the Home Alone movies, was cited by authorities for allegedly soliciting a prostitute at a California hotel. Here's what may have happened.

On December tenth, Ventura County sheriff's deputies cited Daniel Stern for soliciting prostitution at a hotel in Camarillo, California. The actor, who also starred as a wannabe cowboy in City Slickers, allegedly tried to hire an escort during the incident. Rather than being arrested, Stern was issued a citation by investigators and released.

The misdemeanor charge carries potential penalties of up to six months in jail or a one thousand dollar fine if convicted. Under California law, since soliciting a prostitute is classified as a misdemeanor offense, Stern will not be required to appear in court personally on the charge, and a lawyer can appear on his behalf instead.

The citation comes as Stern has largely stepped away from Hollywood, relocating to a ranch in Somis within Ventura County to focus on his career as a sculptor. The timing of the incident occurred just days before it was revealed that Stern had been commissioned to create artwork for the famous Home Alone house.

Speaking about his sculpture work, Stern recently stated, "I got a call from the people who own the Home Alone house. And I'm a sculptor, they asked if I would do a sculpture for the house. So I'm creating a sculpture of me and the spider." He added, "Which is gonna be kind of crazy. So it'll be at the Home Alone house so that spider, whatever his name was, Charlie, is being immortalized in bronze."

Stern was recently hospitalized in October following an undisclosed medical emergency. His arraignment on the solicitation charge was scheduled for January thirteenth.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
