The confrontation turned physical when the rapper began throwing punches at the officers. One official later stated he was booked because he did "batter an officer, so he was booked for battery on a peace officer."
Officers were forced to use physical force to subdue the artist, ultimately forcing him to the ground to gain control of the volatile situation. During the altercation, one officer was heard saying "Didn't I tell you to put the phone down?" suggesting bystanders may have been recording the incident.

By eleven twenty-two that morning, the artist had been officially booked on battery charges stemming from his alleged attacks on the responding officers.
Later, in what appeared to be social media posts, statements attributed to the artist included "Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me! Shake Ur ass for me instead!" and reflections about recent struggles, saying "These last few years were pretty difficult for me" and "I'm just now, like arriving to this place of feeling confidence in myself and what I'm doing."
