Welcome to Arrest Stories. A fifty-nine-year-old Houston man was sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting another customer at a McDonald's restaurant over a missing fish patty. Here's what may have happened.
On May fourth, twenty twenty-four, Anthony Landry entered a McDonald's location in Houston, Texas, and confronted employees over what he claimed was a missing patty from his double Filet-O-Fish order. According to police reports, Landry was yelling and using profanity while demanding a refund of one dollar and forty-one cents for his botched sandwich order.
The situation escalated when Jeffrey Limmer, another customer at the restaurant, intervened in the argument between Landry and the McDonald's employees. Limmer told Landry to stop yelling at the employee and to leave the restaurant. The confrontation moved outside where Limmer pushed Landry out the door, causing him to fall to the ground.
After being pushed out of the restaurant, Landry left the immediate area and retrieved a gun from his vehicle. He then returned to the McDonald's location where Limmer was walking out with his order. Police reports indicate that Landry shot Limmer nine times with the firearm. Limmer was pronounced dead at the scene.
During court proceedings, prosecutors emphasized the severity of the attack, stating that Landry shot Limmer not once, not twice, but nine times with a firearm he shouldn't have had in his possession because of his criminal record.
One week after the May fourth shooting, Anthony Landry turned himself in to authorities. The case proceeded to trial where a jury deliberated for twenty minutes before finding Landry guilty of murder. He was subsequently sentenced to life in prison for the fatal shooting of Jeffrey Limmer.
The incident began as a dispute over a missing patty in a Filet-O-Fish sandwich but escalated into a deadly confrontation when Limmer attempted to intervene in the argument between Landry and restaurant staff.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
