MAN ON HOME CONFINEMENT ARRESTED OVER DELETED BROWSER HISTORY

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A twenty-five-year-old West Virginia man on home confinement for threatening elementary school students has been arrested again for violating the terms of his supervision. Here's what may have happened.

Andrew Hitt was taken into custody at his residence on Teter Road, located next to Hodgesville Elementary School in Upshur County. The arrest stems from a home confinement violation related to his previous terroristic threat case involving the same elementary school.

According to police reports, Hitt's legal troubles began in May when he was originally arrested for threatening students. The case involved disturbing messages sent from a Discord account that were brought to the attention of the FBI. West Virginia State Police were subsequently notified by the FBI about these messages.

During the initial investigation, Hitt admitted to police that he had sent the threatening messages. Among the statements he made were "I could even kill my parents and smear their blood all over the walls" and "I live next to a school... I have had thoughts of how easy it would be to snipe those kids off one by one from my yard."

On November fourth, Hitt entered a plea on a deferred adjudication agreement on the felony terroristic threat charge and was subsequently placed on GPS home confinement.

The recent arrest occurred after deputies conducted a routine home confinement check on Monday. During their inspection of Hitt's phone and computer, officers discovered that the devices' browsing histories had been deleted. When questioned about accessing required monitoring programs, Hitt claimed he could not remember the necessary passwords.

After consulting with the prosecuting attorney, deputies charged Hitt with the home confinement violation. He is currently being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on a five thousand dollar personal recognizance bond.

The family has reportedly contacted a real estate company and stated they are "looking forward to relocating their residence to alleviate community concern."

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
