Welcome to Arrest Stories. Forty-one-year-old Jason Lee Horner has been sentenced to eighteen years in prison for the shotgun murder of his ex-girlfriend under a highway overpass. Here's what may have happened.
On May twenty-ninth, twenty twenty-three, shortly after nine-thirty in the evening, Jason Lee Horner and Sabrina Lee Schnoor were captured on surveillance footage together at a convenience store. The former couple had a troubled history, with Horner having previously abused and threatened to kill Schnoor. Despite this dangerous pattern, Schnoor had agreed to meet with Horner because she believed he was going to prison.
As a safety precaution, Schnoor shared her location with friends through the Life360 app before the meeting. After leaving the convenience store, Horner led Schnoor down train tracks toward an Interstate thirty-five overpass. About an hour later, surveillance footage showed Horner walking back toward the store alone.
When Schnoor's friends didn't hear from her, they used the Life360 app to track her last known location. On May thirtieth, twenty twenty-three, around ten in the evening, police responded to the Interstate thirty-five overpass near the train tracks where Schnoor's body was discovered.
The scene was described in graphic detail by prosecutors, who stated that Schnoor's jaw was missing, bone fragments and teeth were located in the rocks near her body, and blood spatter was observed on and around her head. According to court documents, Horner shot Schnoor through the mouth with a shotgun.
During sentencing, prosecutors painted a disturbing picture of the crime, stating that Sabrina Schnoor spent her last moments with a gun held against her mouth, or worse, inside her mouth. They noted that her body was left like trash underneath a dirty overpass while defendant fled the scene.
Horner was charged with second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. The case highlighted the deadly escalation of domestic violence and the tragic consequences when threats become reality.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
