In the early morning hours of February fourteenth, between midnight and three AM, Jalen Peck allegedly engaged in a series of disturbing incidents across Hamilton's west side. Police reports indicate Peck exposed himself on several occasions during this three-hour window, targeting multiple residential areas.
The incidents occurred at three separate locations: the four hundred block of Sherman Avenue, the one hundred block of North F Street, and the three hundred block of North C Street. According to investigators, in each incident, the suspect exposed himself and engaged in lewd conduct in front of residents.
The most serious allegation occurred on North C Street, where Peck allegedly entered a residence through an unlocked window. Once inside the home, police say Peck exposed himself and made inappropriate gestures. The situation escalated when Peck allegedly touched himself inappropriately in front of a woman living at the residence. Her son confronted Peck and chased him from the house before police arrived at the scene.
Community members expressed shock at the incidents. One resident described seeing police patrol the area, stating they suddenly saw police going down the road and heard a tactical drone searching for the suspect. The resident called it insane and said they didn't learn what actually happened until the next day.
Another neighbor called it definitely the strangest thing that's happened in this neighborhood in a long time, adding that Peck was definitely not welcome in the area.
The Hamilton Police Department credited community cooperation in solving the case. Officials stated that evidence combined with an actionable tip provided by a community member allowed investigators to identify Peck as the primary suspect. Police extended sincere gratitude to the vigilant resident who came forward with information, noting the swift resolution resulted from collaborative efforts between the community, detectives, and patrol division.
Peck's bond was set at fifty thousand dollars.
