ORLANDO BURGLARS ROOFTOP ESCAPE REQUIRED DRONE TO CAPTURE

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A forty-eight-year-old Orlando man was arrested after allegedly burglarizing a food mart and leading police on an unusual rooftop chase that required drone assistance. Here's what may have happened.

In the early morning hours of December eighteenth, Tyrell Staffine allegedly targeted Annie's Food Mart in Orlando, Florida. According to police reports, Staffine used a large bolt cutter to gain access to the store's register area at approximately four o'clock in the morning.

Store surveillance video captured Staffine entering the business twice during the burglary. The footage shows him behind the register with the bolt cutter, filling a bag with rolled coins worth approximately nine hundred dollars. Staffine also allegedly took multiple boxes of cigarettes valued at about two thousand dollars, bringing the total estimated theft to three thousand three hundred forty dollars.

Store owner Anna Patel was alerted to the crime when her store alarm activated. Watching the break-in unfold in real-time through surveillance video on her phone, Patel observed the suspect inside her closed store. "He was taking the garbage bag and dumping everything inside. So, I called nine-one-one to send police over as soon as possible," Patel stated.

When Orlando police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Staffine had climbed onto the roof of a nearby business in an attempt to escape capture. Officers deployed a drone to track his movements as he crawled across the rooftop trying to hide from authorities below.

"The guy was hiding somewhere, and police told me to stay in the car," Patel recalled about the tense moments during the arrest operation.

The drone surveillance proved effective in monitoring Staffine's location on the roof. Eventually, he surrendered to authorities and came down from his elevated hiding spot.

Staffine faces charges including burglary of an occupied structure, grand theft, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools in connection with this incident.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
