Welcome to Arrest Stories. A registered sex offender known as the serial "butt sniffer" has been arrested again in Burbank after allegedly targeting female shoppers at retail stores, with bail set at one hundred thousand dollars. Here's what may have happened.
On August twentieth, thirty-eight-year-old Calese Carron Crowder was taken into custody at approximately ten forty-five in the evening for loitering with intent to commit a crime. According to police reports, the incident unfolded at the Nordstrom Rack in the Empire Shopping Center, where Crowder was allegedly caught engaging in disturbing behavior toward female customers.
Store surveillance footage reportedly captured Crowder in the women's department, where officers say he was targeting unsuspecting shoppers. Police stated, "While in the women's section, the suspect was observed following a female customer, crouching near her, and engaging in lewd behavior by inappropriately sniffing her buttocks."
The arrest comes less than one month after a similar incident at the same Nordstrom Rack location on July twenty-second. Crowder's pattern of alleged criminal behavior has earned him notoriety across social media platforms, particularly after one victim posted a TikTok video that went viral, showing him allegedly sniffing her at a store.
Law enforcement officials revealed that Crowder was on active parole supervision at the time of his arrest, having been released in June after serving time for indecent exposure in Santa Clarita. Police noted he has "a documented history of similar arrests for lewd conduct in both Glendale and Burbank, dating back to twenty twenty-one."
Previous incidents allegedly include inappropriate behavior at Barnes and Noble, Walgreens, and even peeping into a family's home in Glendale. Officers used the store's surveillance system to track Crowder's movements before making the arrest.
Crowder was booked into jail early Thursday morning at one zero three AM on August twenty-first.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
