SUSPECT BUSTED AFTER OFF-DUTY COP SPOTS DISTINCTIVE TRUCK AT BEACH

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A seventy-year-old man faces arson charges after allegedly igniting multiple brush fires that came dangerously close to residential homes, with investigators using wildfire cameras and accelerant detection dogs to build their case. Heres what may have happened.

Antonio Vierra found himself in handcuffs on August twenty-seventh after a sophisticated investigation linked him to a series of suspicious brush fires that terrorized the Kunia area. The Strategic Enforcement Detail arrested the seventy-year-old at approximately eight fifty-five in the morning, with bail set at fifty thousand dollars.

The investigation began when authorities noticed a disturbing pattern. Between August eleventh and twenty-third, fire departments responded to eight separate fire calls in the Kunia and Wahiawa areas. The breakthrough came when wildfire cameras captured a distinctive gold Dodge Ram pickup truck with blue pinstripes parked on Kunia Road on August twenty-third.

"Within minutes, a brush fire ignited nearby and spread rapidly toward the Royal Kunia neighborhood. The fire coming within eight hundred ninety-one feet of residential homes before being brought under control," officials reported. The timing was crucial, but the ninety-second camera delay prevented immediate police interception.

An off-duty police lieutenant later spotted the distinctive vehicle at Haleiwa Beach Park. "He witnessed the driver walk into the brush, followed shortly by the arrival of HFD responding to a new fire," investigators revealed. "The lieutenant then observed the male walk out of the brush area where the fire started."

The evidence mounted quickly. State fire marshal photographs allegedly showed Vierra igniting fires, while accelerant detection canines made multiple alerts. "Investigators located multiple alerts for ignitable substances both on the vehicle and on the clothing that we recovered from Vierra," officials stated. Laboratory testing of Vierra's shoes confirmed the presence of heavy petroleum distillate products.

The Criminal Investigation Division's Major Crimes Detail secured the arrest warrant after extensive evidence analysis exceeded the initial forty-eight-hour holding period.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
