WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER PATIENT TRIED ESCAPING MID-SURGERY

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A thirty-four-year-old woman faces multiple felony charges including kidnapping after allegedly performing unlicensed cosmetic surgery that left a patient permanently scarred. Here's what may have happened.

In January twenty twenty, twenty-two-year-old woman sought double eyelid blepharoplasty surgery at what she believed was a legitimate medical facility at fifty-seven A Brighton Avenue in Allston, Massachusetts. Dingrui Wang, thirty-four, allegedly represented herself as a licensed physician despite not holding a Massachusetts physician registration.

According to prosecutors, Wang performed the cosmetic procedure by injecting local anesthetic into the victim's eyelids along with non-FDA-approved dermal fillers. The unauthorized surgery resulted in permanent scarring to the patient's face.

During the procedure, after Wang had completed surgery on the first eyelid, the victim experienced extreme pain and attempted to leave the facility. Prosecutors allege Wang physically prevented the patient from departing, pushing her back onto the examination table and forcing her to remain until the procedure was completed on both eyes.

On Thursday, January twenty-ninth, a Suffolk grand jury indicted Wang on multiple charges including four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury, one count of kidnapping, unauthorized practice of medicine, and two counts of larceny over one thousand two hundred dollars by false pretense.

District Attorney Kevin Hayden emphasized the severity of unlicensed medical practice, stating, "Physicians are licensed for very good reasons, primarily among them the assurance that patients are going to be treated by someone trained and certified to deliver safe, effective medical procedures. When misrepresentations are made, the results can be devastating."

The case highlights the dangers of seeking medical procedures from unlicensed practitioners and the legal consequences of impersonating medical professionals.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
