WYOMING STATE REP ARRESTED AFTER DEPUTY DISCOVERS THIS DRIVING CONFESSION

Welcome to Arrest Stories. Wyoming State Representative Bill Allemand was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a deputy found an open beer and loaded pistol in his vehicle during a traffic stop in Buffalo. Heres what may have happened.

On December twenty eighth, twenty twenty five, a Johnson County Sheriff's Deputy pulled over Bill Allemand at approximately twelve thirty in the afternoon at the Millers Travel Center in Buffalo for suspicious driving. According to police reports, Allemand had started from a stop almost striking a vehicle approaching from the west before abruptly stopping prior to impact.

Allemand was driving a blue twenty sixteen Toyota Tacoma with Wyoming plates when Deputy Caleb Campbell conducted the traffic stop. During the interaction, the officer discovered an open can of Michelob Ultra beer in the center console alongside four unopened beers on the front passenger seat. A loaded pistol was also found on the front passenger seat.

When questioned, Allemand admitted to drinking two beers fifteen minutes before the stop. The police report states the driver also admitted that he drinks while driving for anxiety. During field sobriety testing, Allemand had significant difficulty getting in and out of the patrol vehicle requiring the deputy to support him to prevent falling. The deputy noted that Allemand lost balance multiple times and almost fell, prompting the officer to stop the test due to safety concerns.

Allemand was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and his vehicle was towed following the interaction. He appeared in court on December thirtieth, twenty twenty five.

In a Tuesday interview, State Representative Bill Allemand said he believes he should not have been arrested and would not have been arrested had it not been for his insistence upon his rights. He stated, I am challenging them in court. Because this was wrong. I got a deputy who did not like me knowing my rights, and he pushed it to where if I would have kept my mouth shut, I would have never been arrested.

A scheduling conference has been set for January twenty eighth, twenty twenty six, with a jury trial scheduled for May first, twenty twenty six.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
