4 Arrested In Connection With Crime Spree In Glastonbury

Warrants were served to four in connection with wintertime crimes in Glastonbury, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Four people have been arrested in connection with a wintertime crime spree in Glastonbury, police said.

Police said the case dates back to the early morning hours of Feb. 4 they began investigating several incidents that had just occurred, including a burglary to the Shell gas station located at 2088 Hebron Ave, several vehicle burglaries at residences, a motor vehicle stolen from a residence and an armed robbery involving the use of a handgun at the Mobil gas station located at 2997 Main St.

Through evidence located at the scenes, the completion of search warrants and work with other agencies, Glastonbury police identified four suspects, and arrest warrants were obtained for each of them for their involvement in the crime spree. They were rounded up during the final week of April by the Glastonbury Police Department Investigations Division, the Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force, Hartford police, Waterbury police and the FBI.

Those charged are:

  • Frankie Almodovar-Roman, 22 of Hartford: Third-degree burglary with a corresponding conspiracy, fifth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, first-degree robbery with a corresponding conspiracy, larceny of a motor vehicle with a corresponding conspiracy. Police said Almodovar-Roman was arrested in Manchester on April 30.
  • Nelson Colon-Davila, 23 of Hartford: Third-degree burglary with a corresponding conspiracy, first-degree criminal mischief, fifth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, first-degree robbery with a corresponding conspiracy, and larceny of a motor vehicle. Colon-Davila was arrested in Enfield, on May 1, police said.
  • Kevin Ortiz-Rivera, age 21 of Hartford: Third-degree burglary with a corresponding conspiracy, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree robbery with a corresponding conspiracy, First-degree threatening, reckless endangerment, fifth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy, larceny of a motor vehicle with a corresponding conspiracy. Ortiz-Rivera was arrested in Waterbury on May 2, police said.
  • Rosa Mercedes, 25 of Hartford: Third-degree burglary with a corresponding conspiracy, fifth-degree larceny 5th with a corresponding conspiracy, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, first-degree robbery and larceny of a motor vehicle with a corresponding conspiracy, police said. Mercedes was arrested in Hartford on May 2, police said.
