Welcome to Arrest Stories.

A 21-year-old woman posted online that she was going to the Trump rally in her city to shoot him with her Glock, but police say she had no weapon and claimed it was all just a joke.

Here's what may have happened.

The incident took place in Daytona Beach, Florida, where the U.S. Secret Service and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office are investigating. Authorities identified the suspect as Allison Albro, a 21-year-old resident of Daytona Beach. On Thursday night, Albro posted a photo on social media with a caption threatening to shoot President Donald Trump at an upcoming campaign rally. The post was flagged by the U.S. Secret Service, which immediately contacted the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office to investigate. Deputies and Secret Service agents arrived at Albro’s home on Thursday, where she was tearful and admitted she knew why they were there. Albro told investigators that the post was a joke and that she did not have access to a Glock or any other weapons. Deputies conducted a search of her residence but found no firearms, ammunition, or related accessories. Albro was arrested and taken to jail, where she was held without bond following an initial appearance. She is formally charged with unlawful use of a communications device and making written threats to kill. Sheriff Mike Chitwood announced the arrest and warned others against posting similar 'jokes' online. All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts.
