A man walked into a smoke shop with blood on his hands and claimed to be an archangel, but police say that was just the beginning of a violent weekend in Albuquerque.

Here's what may have happened.

Authorities allege that Collin Terrazas dismantled a security camera and pried open a deadbolt before stabbing Dante Conley inside the residence. Police say Terrazas then attempted to start a fire in the home before fleeing the scene in Conley's black Lexus SUV. Hours after the murder, Terrazas drove the vehicle to a smoke shop on San Pedro Drive where he told an employee he had killed someone and slashed a throat. The suspect allegedly told the employee he took money, a gun, and the vehicle, while also claiming to be the archangel Michael. Detectives tracked Terrazas to a parking lot at the Journal Center where he eventually barricaded himself inside. Albuquerque Police Department SWAT officers arrived and used a Taser to subdue Terrazas during the standoff. Terrazas is formally charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and tampering with evidence. He also faces an additional charge of attempted arson related to the fire set at the victim's home. He is currently in custody and is expected to face a judge soon. All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts.
