On January twenty-third, two thousand twenty-six, Nebraska State Patrol investigators arrested Christopher Schlosser at his home in Scottsbluff. The former Scotts Bluff County corrections officer faces charges stemming from an incident that occurred on October thirteenth, two thousand twenty-five, while he was employed at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.

According to police reports, investigators reviewed two flash drives containing videos showing Schlosser and a female inmate entering the restroom in the detention center's laundry room. The pair remained in the restroom for approximately twenty minutes. During the investigation, the inmate told investigators that she had been intimate with Schlosser on two separate occasions, both occurring on the same day.

When questioned by investigators, Schlosser provided a different account of the events. He stated that he had known the inmate prior to her incarceration and that they had only talked while together in the restroom.

The timeline of events shows that shortly after the October thirteenth incident, Schlosser was placed on administrative leave pending investigation. On that same date, October thirteenth, Schlosser resigned from his position at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center. The case was reported to the Nebraska Attorney General's Office as part of the investigation process.

An arrest warrant was issued for Schlosser on January sixteenth. Following his arrest seven days later, Schlosser was lodged at the same Scotts Bluff County Detention Center where he had previously worked as a corrections officer. Bond was set at ten percent of twenty-five thousand dollars.
