Welcome to Arrest Stories. A former NFL star and television personality was arrested on the Fourth of July in Florida on a domestic battery charge while already facing a wave of civil sexual assault allegations. Heres what may have happened.

On July fourth, twenty twenty six, Marcellus Wiley, age fifty one, was booked into the Orange County Jail in Florida on one count of domestic battery. Jail records confirm the arrest, and Wiley remained listed in the jail system following the booking. He is being held without bond. Details surrounding the alleged incident, including the identity of the other party involved and the specific circumstances that led to the arrest, have not been disclosed by authorities.

Wiley is a former NFL defensive end who was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the nineteen ninety seven NFL Draft. He also played for the San Diego Chargers, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. His standout season came in two thousand one with the Chargers, when he recorded thirteen sacks and earned a Pro Bowl selection. After retiring from football, Wiley transitioned into broadcasting, co-hosting SportsNation at ESPN and later co-hosting Speak for Yourself on FS1 alongside Jason Whitlock. He left FS1 in December twenty twenty two and has since hosted his own independent podcast and YouTube venture. He is married to Annemarie Wiley, who appeared on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The domestic battery arrest comes amid separate civil sexual assault allegations filed against Wiley by multiple women. One former ESPN production assistant alleged in court filings that Wiley pushed her against the windows of a hotel room. In her words, quote, he emerged from the bathroom naked. He pushed me up against the windows of the room so hard I thought they would shatter. I was petrified and believed I was going to be killed, end quote. A fourth alleged victim stated in filings, quote, Marcellus Wiley raped me on my eighteenth birthday, after grooming me from the age of thirteen, end quote.

Wiley publicly denied those civil allegations on his podcast in May, saying, quote, they are attempting to leverage lies for personal gain, as they say, assassination by accusation, that's their goal. They trying by lying, end quote. He also stated, quote, to me, it's about my son's name that he will one day Google and think that this is about him, but he's gonna know it's about his dad. And how dare you stain the brain of my child, end quote.

The domestic battery charge is separate from those civil matters. Representatives for Wiley had not publicly responded to the arrest at the time of initial reports.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
