Welcome to Arrest Stories. Former professional skateboarder Terry Kennedy was arrested in Denver on assault charges involving his pregnant girlfriend. Heres what may have happened.
On July thirteen, twenty twenty five, just before ten PM, Denver police responded to a call at a location where they made contact with Chantise Knatt-Jackson. Chantise told officers she had been in a relationship with Terry Kennedy for six months and that she was almost three months pregnant at the time of the incident.
Officers say they observed two visible injuries on Chantise. A smaller sized cut on the middle of her forehead, and a larger cut to the bottom left side of her head. According to police, Chantise told them that Terry had been stressed out about business deals when he allegedly punched her in the head. She also told officers that Terry pushed her while she was attempting to run for the door, causing her to fall and strike her head on the door handle. Chantise then told police she got up, ran to the bathroom, and messaged her neighbor to call police.
Paramedics who responded to the scene noted that Chantise had an injury to the back of her head that might require stitches.
When officers questioned Terry Kennedy directly about the incident, he denied having any sort of altercation with Chantise.
Terry Kennedy, forty one years old, was booked on two assault charges, plus an out-of-state charge that police say is connected to a parole violation. Bond was only allowed on two of the three charges.
K-R-O-K, the CEO of Third Eye Recordings, the management company that represents Terry Kennedy, released a statement saying, quote, We are aware of the situation with Terry TK Kennedy and are investigating it, but we want to pray for TK and his family members. The CEO added, quote, We also want to make it abundantly clear that we do not condone domestic violence of any kind.
It appears Terry Kennedy remained in police custody at the time of reporting.
