GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Guilderland man following a traffic stop on Wednesday morning. Mark Robinson, 46, is facing multiple charges.

On May 8 at 2:18 a.m., deputies on patrol conducted a traffic stop on State Route 155 near Voorheesville Avenue in New Scotland. During an interview with police, the car’s driver, identified as Robinson, was allegedly found with quantities of cocaine and Tramadol pills.

Robinson was taken into custody at the scene. He now faces the following charges:

  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of controlled substance
  • Fifth-degree criminal possession of controlled substance
  • Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substance
  • Multiple vehicle and traffic violations

Robinson was held at the Albany County Correctional Facility as a pre-arraignment
detainee following his arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the New Scotland Town Court on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
