Welcome to Arrest Stories. A man in Port Canaveral, Florida was arrested after a deputy clocked him driving more than double the posted speed limit in a rented luxury vehicle. Heres what may have happened.
According to the Brevard County Sheriffs Office, a deputy was conducting speed checks on State Road five twenty eight near Port Canaveral when the deputy clocked a white Lamborghini traveling one hundred and seven miles per hour in a forty five mile per hour zone.
That is sixty two miles per hour over the posted speed limit.
The deputy pulled the vehicle over and identified the driver as Corey Weedman. According to deputies, when Weedman was stopped, he told them it was a big night and that he had rented the car to celebrate.
Weedman was subsequently arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail.
He is now facing charges of driving fifty miles per hour or more over the speed limit, a charge commonly referred to as super speeding.
His bond was set at five hundred dollars.
The Brevard County Sheriffs Office has not publicly released Weedmans age or additional background information in connection with this case. No date for the incident was made available in the official report.
The charge of driving fifty or more miles per hour over the posted speed limit is a serious traffic offense under Florida law, and Weedman now faces the legal process in Brevard County following his booking into the county jail.
