Welcome to Arrest Stories. A former TLC reality star from the hit show Doubling Down With the Derricos was arrested in Las Vegas after allegedly threatening to kill someone very close to her. Heres what may have happened.

Karen Derrico, best known for her years on the TLC series Doubling Down With the Derricos, was arrested on June seventeen after prosecutors alleged she sent emails threatening to kill her ex-husband, Deon Derrico, and quote any of the kids who sided with him during their divorce.

Karen and Deon had been married since two thousand five. After nearly two decades of marriage, the couple filed for divorce on June fourth, two thousand twenty-four. A judge signed off on the split on June sixth, according to TMZ. Under the divorce agreement, the former couple will split custody of their thirteen minor children, with Deon paying more than one thousand one hundred dollars a month in child support and Karen covering the medical insurance premiums for the children.

Following her arrest, Karen was charged with harassment, aggravated stalking, violating a temporary restraining order, and preventing or dissuading a witness through threats of violence. She was released on a two thousand dollar bond and placed on electronic monitoring. Karen has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include both felony and misdemeanor counts. Her attorney has maintained that the emails at the center of the case were fabricated in an effort to frame her.

Audio of a phone call between Karen and one of her children was later published following the arrest.

Deon spoke exclusively with Oxygen about the emotional toll the situation has taken on him and their family. I feel like someone died, he said. Something that I loved died, and that was us as a unit as a whole, and our family is torn in two. He added, Something has died. What has died was the way we once were and we will never be that way again. Regarding trust, Deon stated, I will never trust her again. I will never ever feel I could trust her again. And so that has died.

Deon also forcefully rejected claims that he fabricated the threatening emails, calling the accusation absolutely egregious, absolutely absurd and preposterous.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
