Welcome to Arrest Stories. A Fayette County, West Virginia man was arrested after allegedly stalking a sitting family court judge, and what he said to police about karma may be the most chilling part of the story. Heres what may have happened.

Larry Dickerson of Fayette County, West Virginia now faces a stalking charge following a complaint involving Fayette County Family Court Judge Matthew England. The investigation began when Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney Anthony Ciliberti contacted West Virginia State Police Trooper First Class T.D. Richardson regarding the stalking complaint. Richardson then contacted Judge England directly, scheduling a meeting to obtain a formal statement and gather additional information related to allegations of stalking and harassment, as well as concerns for the judge's personal safety.

Judge England told police that Dickerson had driven past his residence on numerous occasions. Family members present at the residence also reportedly observed a gold-colored Ford passenger vehicle slowly circling the home while the male driver appeared to be watching the property. Through motor vehicle registration records, investigators identified that driver as Dickerson. Photographs of the vehicle were also provided to investigators as part of the case.

Judge England told police he believed Dickerson was motivated by a family court proceeding from two thousand eighteen, over which England had presided. According to the complaint, Dickerson allegedly believed the final custody order in that case was not in his favor. Dickerson had also previously mailed Judge England a letter expressing dissatisfaction with both the judge and the Fayette County Family Court.

Investigators traveled to Dickerson's residence and advised him of his Miranda rights. Dickerson agreed to speak with TFC Richardson and Trooper C.B. Bare without an attorney present. During questioning, Dickerson said he was ashamed to be from here and claimed the whole county is corrupt. He told troopers he had been traveling near Judge England's residence to witness karma take place. When pressed to explain what he meant, Dickerson referenced the death of another judge, stating that Judge Hatcher was dead because karma caught up to him. He made a similar remark about a former attorney who had died after allegedly failing to file court paperwork by a required deadline. When asked again about Judge England specifically, Dickerson said he hoped to witness the judge catch karma. Dickerson also told troopers the Bible teaches people to turn the other cheek, but said he was not built like that.

Police noted that Dickerson does not live near Judge England's residence and that his frequent travel through the area would not be considered normal travel associated with where he lives. Dickerson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the West Virginia State Police Oak Hill Detachment for processing.
